The AEGC Conference is offering up to 50 participants the opportunity to visit Sydney’s amazing Blue Mountains on a one day Field Excursion. Key geological stops will cover the geological history of the mountains, including: the Lapstone Monocline, Hawkesbury Sandstone, Coal Measures and Basalt Caps. We’ll also be taking in many of the grand vistas the mountains have to offer, and enjoying some of the more touristy things too, such as Wentworth Falls, Echo Point, Scenic World (Scenic Railway, Skyway) and the Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens. The cost includes travel by bus, field guide, snacks, tickets for the Scenic World, lunch at Blackheath Golf Club and drinks for the return trip to the convention centre.
